A sanctuary shaped by art, stone, and silence.
Set on the eastern slope of a private peninsula, the villa looks directly toward Gemile Island and the calm, sheltered bay that stretches out before it. Sea, island and mountains align into a single horizon, subtly reshaped by light, clarity and silence throughout the day. Positioned at the most protected point of Gökçe Gemile, the villa remains entirely concealed within forested hills and Mediterranean maquis - unseen, untouched, and deeply private.
Rather than feeling placed upon the land, the villa appears to emerge from it. Privacy here is not designed; it is granted by the geography itself. The gardens are conceived as a passage, not a display - unfolding gradually through stone, shade and shifting levels. Mosaic paths trace gentle curves across the landscape, quietly echoing the region’s shared Anatolian and Aegean heritage. Each surface, formed through months of handwork, carries the depth and patience of true craftsmanship.
At the heart of the garden, a lake-shaped pool rests naturally within the terrain, accompanied by a hot tub carved from a single block of stone and a pergola positioned at the highest point of the grounds. These elements do not compete with the view; they frame it. A discreet waterslide, concealed within the rock formations and flowing gently into the pool, exists almost unnoticed - playful, yet respectful of the surrounding stillness. Here, every feature belongs to a quiet, cohesive whole.
The villa’s walls are built from river-washed stones gathered from the Eşen region of Fethiye - stones once removed by hand to make fertile land usable, later forming village homes and boundary walls. Indoors, massive oak beams reclaimed from old rural houses and granaries have been carefully restored and reworked. Stone and wood, both carrying centuries of use, bring their shared memory into the present. This sense of history is not decorative; it is felt.
Inside, material becomes language. Nothing is ornamental, yet everything is intentional. Hand-carved furnishings, sculpted timber panels, pebble mosaics and fully artisanal details transform the interior into more than a living space - it becomes a living work. Guests often find themselves lingering, not moving, simply observing the quiet dialogue between craft, texture and light.
Set apart within the garden, a single-storey stone pool house offers a rare layer of independence. Designed for guests seeking privacy of their own - companions, caregivers, or those wishing to spend long, unhurried hours by the pool - it provides separation without distance, freedom without disconnection.
Gemile does not impress through scale. It convinces through presence. Not through display, but through mastery. Not through sound, but through silence.
Here, time softens. The view is not watched - it is entered. And without noticing, one begins to breathe more deeply.

Entering Villa Gemile is a gradual transition into calm. The interior unfolds with a gentle descent into a high-ceilinged living and dining space, where light, texture and craftsmanship define the atmosphere. Mosaic inlays echo the Levissi (Kayaköy) tradition beneathfoot, while expansive slabs of Elmalı stone and softly embedded pebbles ground the space with a sense of permanence. A fireplace carved from Dalaman river stone anchors the room, its warmth enhanced by underfloor heating and a palette of natural textiles drawn from the region.
The kitchen is both functional and quietly expressive. Handcrafted oak cabinetry, detailed with wrought iron inspired by Levissi homes, sits alongside black granite worktops and a marble basin carved from Afyon stone. Views extend outward as meals are prepared, reinforcing the sense that daily rituals here are inseparable from landscape.
The sleeping spaces continue the dialogue between heritage and comfort. Two master suites occupy the upper level, each offering a distinct character: one defined by a vaulted ceiling supported by reclaimed oak and chestnut beams, the other by the grounded warmth of chestnut timbers and sculptural oak details. Both suites open onto a shared balcony with sweeping 180° views across the bay, forest and mountains. A serene twin room on the ground floor and a discreet pool house complete the indoor accommodation, offering flexibility without compromising privacy.

Villa Gemile’s outdoor spaces are defined by complete seclusion. Encircled by forest and mature planting, the gardens form a naturally protected environment - fully private, deeply tranquil and inherently halal-friendly. Movement through the landscape follows curved mosaic paths, crafted from river stones and hand-collected pebbles from Gökçe Gemile’s own shoreline, reinforcing a sense of continuity between land and sea.
At the heart of the garden lies a generous lake-style swimming pool lined with Dalaman river stones. Its gently sloping, beach-like entry and pebble-finished floor create the impression of a natural lagoon rather than a constructed pool. Adjacent to it, a sculpted stone hot tub - carved from a single massive boulder - overflows into an ornamental pond, introducing the soft sound of water throughout the garden.
Above the pool, positioned at the highest point of the grounds, the pergola offers one of the villa’s most compelling viewpoints. Built from Eşen stone pillars and chestnut beams, it is a place for long afternoons and quiet evenings - overlooking the coastline, distant islands, forested slopes and open sky. Terraces, shaded seating areas, hammocks and outdoor dining spaces complete an outdoor environment designed for rhythm rather than display.

Smoking Policy
As in much of the Mediterranean, fire risk is significant during the dry summer months. For this reason, a strict smoking policy applies throughout the estate:

A Mediterranean Architectural Masterpiece

A stone house, drawn from a storybook.

A sanctuary shaped by art, stone, and silence.

A private island–style estate, entirely your own.
